Queen's Award For Enterprise

31st December 2021

Queen's Award

This year we were incredibly proud to be one of 205 organisations nationally to be recognised with a prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise. We’re a small business but have had a huge impact since we launched in 2016, preventing over 2 million slices of bread from being wasted whilst inspiring brewers all over the world to use surplus bread, and donating all profits to charity.

Food production is the biggest contributor to climate change but one third of all food is wasted. We’re here to change that, over a pint.

In receiving the award, the Queen's Awards Office said:

"The company made a commendable response to the Covid-19 crisis, funding the food charity Feedback
using proceeds from online sales to provide 46,000 meals to vulnerable communities in June 2020, made predominantly with surplus food. It is awarded the Queen's Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development because it is innovative, shows the circular economy at its best, raises awareness of a key sustainable development issue and provides practical and engaging solutions to food waste with all profits used in charitable work."

Thank you to everyone buying our beer and supporting our work.

Cheers!
