Toast x Essex Street Brewery

Toast x Essex Street Brewery

When you walk down Essex Street, opposite the Royal Courts of Justice in London, one of the first things you see is Temple Brew House – winner of Bar of the Year at the Great British Pub Awards 2017. It’s here that the tiny Essex Street Brewery is located, with Head Brewer Vanesa producing fantastic beer for the people working and living around, or just visiting, Temple.

We began collaborating with the brewery in 2016. The beer travels just 15 feet from tank to glass, making it an incredibly sustainable local beer and perfectly aligned with our ethics. So we’re thrilled to be creating another limited edition beer with Vanesa.

The latest collab is a Coffee Milk Stout (4.4%) brewed with organic bread from the Flour Station. This bakery began in the kitchens of Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen restaurant, but has grown beyond and is now one of the most beloved bread-makers in the Camden area. Their bread has helped make this a particularly satisfying cask ale, with an easy to enjoy creamy, heavy flavour.

We’ll release the beer at Temple Brew House on 17 October and it’ll be on tap until it’s gone. All profits will go to Feedback, our charity partner who seek to put a stop to global food waste. You can find out more here.
