I am super excited to become the newest Toaster. I started volunteering with Toast last year having first read about their story of brewing beer with surplus bread. I immediately knew I wanted to help and the team were brilliant at giving me roles that fitted around other commitments. Now a full-time Toaster, my first few weeks have quite literally roll-ed by!
It’s a really exciting time to join as we grow the business and introduce our new IPA and Lager to our range. Seeing Toast Ale launch recently in Waitrose is an especially proud moment for me as I started my career there as a graduate trainee. My first role was actually working on the fish counter in Staines… followed by amazing opportunities in various positions throughout the company. Two roles especially stand out: leading in-store projects focussed on the modernisation of the Bakery and the Booze departments. Bread and beer seems to run deep in my veins!
When not Toasting, I love a good adventure and challenge and have enjoyed a cheeky beer everywhere from Tokyo to Timbuktu. Two years ago I cycled solo from Lands End to John o’Groats and I’m currently planning the next big adventure… I’m sure Toast will now become a key ingredient in any future planning!
Toast Ale is currently stocked in some truly remarkable and innovative shops, bars, venues and events across the UK. As Toast’s Customer Relationship Manager, it’s been a real privilege visiting our stockists and learning about their businesses and stories. I can’t wait to #raiseatoast with many more Toast customers in the months ahead!
