Calling all foodies and planet lovers! Are you ready to dive into a deliciously sustainable project that's all about making a positive impact? Then listen up, because Toast has something exciting brewing, and we want you to be a part of it!

We all know food is more than just fuel; it's a joyful part of our lives, connecting us to each other and our beautiful planet. But let's face it, our current food system is broken. Did you know that it's responsible for a whopping one-third of greenhouse gas emissions and 80% of deforestation? Plus, we're wasting a third of all the food we produce…

But fear not, because Toast is on a mission to shake things up! We've been turning surplus bakery bread into lip-smacking beer for 8 years - all while giving back to planet Earth. And now, we're launching the Toast Food Sustainability Heroes Fund to spread the love even further!

Are you part of a food-focused community group raising the bar for people and the planet in London? You might be curbing food waste through composting systems, cultivating a tastier future for all through food growing, or protecting local biodiversity. Whatever your project - we want to hear from you!

And you don’t have to be part of a project to join the joy. Spread the word and let your favourite local community group or charity know there are funds up for grabs.

Apply here for our fund by 24th March 2024, and let's make magic happen together!

Here's what we're looking for:

Location: Based within the greater London area? You're in!
Impact: Show us how you're making a real difference in your community.
Sustainable Goals focus: Think Sustainable Consumption and Production (SDG 12) or Climate Action (SDG 13).
Timescales: Got a project ready to deliver by June 30th, 2023? Perfect!
Fund Amount: We’ve got X5 grants of £1000 up for grabs.

Set up your account (basic details with name, address & email) then you set up your project. There is quite a bit of writing so please make sure you have time set aside to complete the process.

To do the latter, there are 3 sections:
